It's been quite a while since I wrote a blog post and it was time to get down with the reality that some things can't be said in 140 characters or less.
Over the weekend, as some of you may of you noticed, I live photo blogged my Saturday afternoon date with Betsy and our trip to Goodwill. For me it was a time to watch Betsy as she . . . read post

There is no such thing as AdSense for RSS.
Google has run a closed beta for AdSense in feeds for nearly 3 years (that's like a billion internet years) and acquired a company that got feed advertising down to a science but there still is no AdSense for RSS.
So what gives? This a great opportunity to increase distribution of ad . . . read post

I can tell you. It all depends on what people are searching for.
Painfully obvious, right?
Well, not so much when someone searches at Google for intitle:"chocolate" ext:rss. The odds are astronomically high that even chocolate experts weren't even returned as results. See for . . . read post

Okay, new goodness for you the Croncast subscriber or the newbie who wants to hear some of the old stuff - added "shows archive" as the third link in navigation. This magic link takes you to what used to be a partially hidden page that has RSS feeds and links to download every show that we . . . read post

The first clue was when I opened Google Reader and my Stylish template was all jacked up. The second clue was the form button labeled 'search'. Woohoo! Thank you Google Reader team. We're not all the way there yet though.
Now we need feeds for those searches and feeds from tags.
Somebody I know has got that fired up already . . .read post

I got an ego update from Google this morning that my name had shown up in a post at a site called Feedage.
Showing up in a splog or other site that pulls content into it via RSS feed isn't that out of the norm these days. What got my attention though was that it wasn't just an item from a post it was the . . . read post

Scott appears to be correct.
He sent me an email yesterday to say that he and Pete had a conversation about something. Which evidently happens on occasion. From the email and attached screen shot I deduced that the discussion was about Google indexing RSS feeds and linking directly to them and how . . . read post

The 'kris is reading' section of the site is now fully functional. Go and check it out. I'll be here when you get back.
Glad to have you back.
So what the hell was that, right?
I have finished up, for now (some touching up to do), what I think is a pretty cool way to use a . . . read post

I spent the bulk of my free time today knocking out code on the site.
Things were just clicking today for some reason and I couldn't let it go. I think it is easier than ever to get to all the content in the site.
Maybe it's the read post
