And talk with Thom (he seemed like Thom with an 'h') just like the dealership instructed me to. Not specifically to Thom with an 'h' but someone in customer care at Volvo of North America.
Turns out that Thom can't help us out! Imagine that. He said this is a "dealership" issue. However, he'll call the dealership on our behalf. . . . read post

Sooooo, Kris thought to himself . . . I mean myself, that I would be cool and do something nice for Betsy. Like I could stop by Volvo of Lisle, the new temporary home for her car and talk to them about the state of her V70 wagon and give her some good news like it has been fixed or that we guarantee that 3/4 of an inch of water will never pour out . . . read post

We made our way to the dealership about an hour ago to officially start the process of finding a remedy. That is the taking away part of the time machine equation. I am sure on this scale of give and take that the nearly 10 days that we have been without the car in the last two weeks is a small percentage compared to that if we had walked the 3800 . . . read post

Monday morning 8:00 a.m. and I make my way to Betsy's frozen, partially snow covered car. My goal - pull hard enough on the gear selector to get the car into reverse, into the cul de sac and turned around so the tow truck can put it on the lift.
