I've been sitting on this for a while, nearly 8 months.
My most recent activity with a Viacom company and previous from 2 1/2 years ago were nearly identical, not good. I've talked with many people who've worked with Viacom companies about my experiences. Turns out, not that different than their's.

As far an unconferences go WordCamp 2007 hasn't been that different from many of the others that I have attended; hit and miss, but mostly miss. David Spark sums up the experience pretty well.
Here's my two cents as an attendee at many events like this:
