I can tell you. It all depends on what people are searching for.
Painfully obvious, right?
Well, not so much when someone searches at Google for intitle:"chocolate" ext:rss. The odds are astronomically high that even chocolate experts weren't even returned as results. See for . . . read post

Why not? Last night I put up a post about how to add the .rss extension to RSS feeds instead of having other extensions. I resurrected my full post after Josh followed up with this comment:
Serious question - why? What benefit (besides looking cool) do you get from this, when there's no . . . read post

Scott appears to be correct.
He sent me an email yesterday to say that he and Pete had a conversation about something. Which evidently happens on occasion. From the email and attached screen shot I deduced that the discussion was about Google indexing RSS feeds and linking directly to them and how . . . read post

My apologies as this turned into a mild nerd rant. Thanks to the Bloglines users who dropped me a line to let me know about this.
Dear Bloglines Users and Bloglines Employees,
I have now hacked all of my feeds to work properly in Bloglines. Bloglines users saw this problem begin about two months ago now, but I finally thought of a . . . read post

I am trying to be cute here. After testing out the Google Reader Bundle feature yesterday I came to the quick conclusion that it is a step in the right direction but closer to a bale of hay than a bundle of flowers.
Do you know what goes into a bale of hay? I learned in my years of small town living . . . a 100 plus pounds of . . . read post

Did you pick the content of the RSS feeds that you are syndicating from your site right now? Or did you let your readers pick?
Within reason my guess would be that most of you answered, yes then no. I know on my sites, even this site, I would have answered the same.
The solution isn't to create more feeds. The best solution . . . read post

Most of you know that I am a stats junkie and for those that don't, well, it is now out of the way.
I wanted to share some stats about Twittering Flickr photos. I started tracking these tweets in Nov. 2007 and finally thought I had enough data that it made sense to put the numbers together.
If you don't know what the hell I am . . . read post

Listen up Mr. and Mrs. internet marketer, your actions are sour, insincere and totally transparent as to your desire to dupe someone into clicking your link in an attempt to make a buck. You are full of shit and we know it. And, your students suck even worse at it.
Here is one example of "strategic blog commenting" by an idiot following . . . read post
