Back from vacation
The show quality has changed a bit with new replacement gear
I will miss you UA 6176's but welcome the new dbx 1066 as an able stepchild

Elliot, please sit on the rock

So I'm taking some shots of the kids and ask Elliot to sit down on the rock that he has been standing on with his sister.

Elliot obliges me, the boy never listens, and the photo below ensues. You guys know me and I would never say this because it is going to make me sound like a kook, but he must have been channeling something.

And, btw, I did not add the sunburst between his eyes, it was part of the shot and I didn't notice it taking the pic.

Vacation calls, you're on your own for today

Before reading on, the short of it is that we won't be releasing a show today.

You are now free to take the thirty minutes or so that you would have spent with us and think about things like when is the last time you bumped in to a serial killer and didn't know it, why aging rock stars are now having their faces botoxed smoothed like pebbles and why they think they look good or something that I can't think of that would make a great comment on this post.

Kris - The only place that had the gear was in Cicero
Betsy - It takes you 30 hours to go and back?
Kris - It was 25 miles and by Midway
Betsy - WTF took so long?
Kris - I got lost on th there. There was insane construction on 355 and 55
Betsy - You are such a dork

We are back from the Wisconsin Dells and in this episode Kris calls a fight between marines, babysits a stripper's kids and watches the police arrest an out of hand mommy all while wearing his tacky father's day gift.

Kris reminisces about the days prior to the invention of Nair and bikini line shaving, I advise him both Nair and bikini line shaving have been around for years, but they didnt practice pubic hair removal in his neck of the woods- go figure. Kris also tries to draw comparisons between Tijuana and the Dells, though I point out that he has never been to Tijuana and never during my entire stay in the Dells was I offered Chiclets from a homeless scabby toddler.

Kris attempts to explain the origins of the phrase Git R Dun and I still don't get it or git it I guess.

Check out the screen shots of Kris and I on TV we are stars! Not really I don't think stars shop at Aldi's- except maybe Rachel Hunter before the smash hit Dancing with the Stars which is on my must watch this week. Rachel has probably upgraded to Albertsons store brands now that things are looking up.

Here we go everybody, Betsy and I talk about our super white trash mecca weekend that began with a skiing squirrel in an above ground pool, the Wisconsin Dells the Tiajuana of the Midwest.

Betsy talks about her bathed in gasoline seagulls from Mexico while the baby pukes on her hand, how I will be in charge of the man and how his memories of this trip will probably be great and Betsy's will be, "Thank god I didn't have to go to the waterpark." and a short bit about how Betsy and her mom used to just call me at work and tell me they were leaving for vacation.

Listener Russ sent us this about naming pharmaceuticals;

"Vi---meaning hard ( as is Vitamins,minerals,rocks,,HARD )
Agra--meaning root ( agriculture etc...)
so ViAgra = Hard ROOT"

and Ben sent this version;

"Viagra is taken from the word "Viagraha," which means Tiger in Sanskrit."

Good thing this isn't CBS because I am not going to check these facts. Betsy and I fit Viagra, Wal-Mart and Nascar into the same 5 minutes, proof positive we've been living in the midwest forever, we get into Wal-Mart being evil and their funding of NPR shows, the darkside equivilant of this; Darth giving a free shirt to Yoda with his likeness and Yoda sporting it day and night.

Our long distance Casey Kasem shout out to Melanie from Nova Scotia, all songs being euphemisms for sex, Wang Chung? and Billy Ocean and his commercial for his song.

Tom sent in a notice that my new car was one of the top 10 "Nerdmobiles" by CNET look for the Scion xB, we talk about Betsy's love fluff and we wrap with a final story of my youth and the small town.
