on my way back from an errand i was taking photos of walls. if i hadn't been, i'm sure i would have missed this shot.

what caught my eye was the contrast of the red to the green...it is the holiday season.

after taking a few shots i realized that the red liquid wasn't nail polish, paint or something spilled from the first floor window ledge. it was blood.

i looked at it closely in disbelief, but it was. my right foot, out of frame was in a significant semi-evaporated puddle of it.

whatever happened in this spot was now over and only a few hours since.

the event was over and in true new york fashion everyone had moved on and a bit of human residue, like graffiti, the only reminder. that is until a super brings out a garden hose on monday morning and washes the marker to the curb.

this graffiti had it's complimentary colors in order.
