These are the CD's that are outside the Vocolo studio at Chicago Public Radio.

Vocolo is a project by WBEZ to get the community involved in production. Think podcasting meets public access meets broadcasting over the airwaves.

I got an email from Mike this morning about the Secret Radio Project initiative from Chicago Public Radio.

After going to the launch site which is spartan expect for a great video (put on your Flash pants) and registering I got an email with some more specifics. And it looks like Mike got it right when he said that this could be Digg on air.

It will be cool to see where this leads. It really could have an impact on citizen media a bit stronger than KYOU which focused mostly on podcasters to get off the ground. That isn't to say that podcasters won't have influence in this case but a project like this might just bring the tools of production to a new audience waiting to be heard.

What I will be be interested to learn more about are the rights agreements with producers and what types of censorship will be put in place. Seeing as how this will ride over the airwaves and not just the internet I am sure that FCC guidelines will need to be met.

So my voice is coming back, slowly, got a bit of my laugh back and . . . I got a new car, a Scion xB. I am going to take some photos and I'll be right back.

Here they are with a couple of reflections of the Lincoln.

Thirty with bald spots on top and a bass tube and neon lights illuminating the inside, I will travel the suburbs frontin' as a 20 year old with his first gig. We talk about my rejection letter from WBEZ in Chicago, at least they were still thinking of me.

We also get into buying the car and how if they knew us they probably wouldn't loan us the money because our payment history with them is not indicative of our bill paying habits, what Kris could go without if we no money, Betsy inheriting the Lincoln, the subdivision block party which marks the one year anniversary for us in this house, buying children.

And then we get into Betsy telling me that camping isn't waking up in the back of a truck bed in a cornfield but is Wolfgang Puck Latte's in a personal cup, we do the show shout outs, special one for Timothy Vojta for a generous donation, my childhood viewing of Miami Vice (I never wanted to be Tubbs).
