Today's show will be up later this afternoon and I get a sense it will be very nerdy. Sans Betsy, since I am at the Portable Media Expo her seat will be filled by a single nerd friend or maybe more.
I need to get back to the seesion . . . talk with you soon.

No time like the present to let the world know that this Thursday I'll be in Ontario, CA speaking at the Podcast Academy 4 and Podcast and Portable Media Expo.
On September 28th I will deliver the 'Integration' session at the Podcast Academy on "Successful Web Design for Podcasting". I will be comparing successful podcasting sites, techniques for user interface design and code engines that can make implementing a podacast site quick and simple.
On September 30th I'll be leading a session titled "Leveraging Your Knowledge as a Successful Podcasting Consultant". Isn't that a mouthfull? During this session I will share my experiences as a podcast consultant both good and could have been better, communicating ideas effectively to the client, what to put in a proposal, and tips on streamlining your audio production.
We'll also talk pricing.

It was time to get our first laptop yesterday, a Sony VGN-AR230G. This is officially the first laptop that we have ever owned. Sure, I have had others but they were all from work.I usually hate laptops and typing on them because the keys are small, feel funny or the memory/processor is weak and apps tend to hang. This laptop . . . not the case. I am typing this post with it and am digging it. The keys are huge and deep when pressed so it feels more like a standard keyboard. Betsy seems to be really happy with it too. Which, is good since she will be the one using most of the time to make posts to Resale Queen without having to go to the basement or wait for Gigi to fall asleep. The only con with it so far is that the mouse pad sits under my right hand and when I get typing faster it keeps moving the mouse and selecting other text in this box.

"Everybody thinks its nifty to buy something for 50 cents and sell it for 50 bucks, and Ebay has become the stay at home mommy home biz of the new millenium- kind of like catering and real estate was back in the 80s. While selling on Ebay is fairly straightforward, the difficult part is knowing what sells and for how much. This is where the hard work comes in. If you like to stay up until 1am bleary eyed reading completed Care Bear auctions in order of highest to lowest price- then join me compadre as we venture forth on the journey to turn garbage into gold."
