This is a comment for Betsy and the resale queen podcast...whats the difference between what you do and what a homeless bag lady does? Thats emberrasing....I dont care where you live, the Goodwill is for poor people in need..

Crazychick - I believe the differences is that Betsy does not pile all her dumpster diving and goodwill finds into a small shopping cart and push it around with her everywhere she goes, calling them her "treasures".

oh, and also? she sells it all on ebay for mad cash. and she's not homeless. Did I detail all the differences enough? Let me know if I left anything out :)

you guys rock. I Found your show back in august, and i've listened to all the back episodes as well. Kris, my hubby can't stand your laugh, i love playing your podcast while prepping dinner (okay, maybe not prepping dinner, more like nuking the swanson's, reheating the pizza, or frying the dogs)it's a great way to get back at him after a long day of flying solo at home with the kids.

Hey CrazyChick...just so you are clear. Goodwill store goods are NOT just for needy people. The mission Statement of the GoodWill is: Goodwill Industries International enhances the dignity and quality of life of individuals, families, and communities by eliminating barriers to opportunity and helping people in need reach their fullest potential through the power of work.

So to translate it is not to sell things inexpensively for poor people to buy, but in fact to run the stores and use the money raised to provide jobs and training opportunities to handicapped (physically & mentally) persons.

So in fact Betsy shopping there as much as she does it a huge benefit to those goals. You should close your mouth, understand what in fact you are talking about, and remove your high-falutin' attitude and go down to your local Goodwill and buy some stuff.
