via flickr: I can feel your connection to the places and things in the way you photograph them, and describe them. This history is yours, pal. Let go of the bad, and enjoy the good memories.

Like some other listeners Kris I can relate so much to your stories..I distinctly remember being in a farm road in Wisconsin, much like the one you have pictured above, in 1984 and saying to myself, I am leaving this place and I will never, ever go back.I didn't go back until last year when my dad died. Just looking at your pictures and listening to your stories always helps me to laugh and let it go a bit.Actually, you should add podcast shrink to your resume! Thanks for sharing, I know it's hard. :)

via flickr: I understand the part about emotional and draining... Seems all of us have our baggage to deal with. Having spent all of today working on my father's estate, I've got a feeling I understand much of how you felt making that drive, with the exception that now there is no Mom or Dad at the end of the journey...
