Actually Kris you got it backwards. It was not Gizmo that won it was melsullivan. ;) . As far as engraving it , I'm sure she would only want it engraved ;). She's a big fan.

Kris now that Betsy is retiring does that mean she is done Goodwilling, garage sale shopping and working E-Bay? Is this her way of passing the Resale Queen torch to her sister?

Hey Betsy-I know Kris won't believe me, but it's okay to say "American Indian." It's not politically incorrect or anything. It's more correct than "Native American"; it's what all of the Congressional treaties say.

So . . . I have been known to get a few things wrong. Just kidding with the agressive tone.

I thought I was being all liberal cool by getting PC. And after looking at the terms side by side, visually "American Indian" wins. But now I gotta do some research on this before I concede.

My husband was a retail store manager for years. Betsy, if I missed this I appologize, but do you nurse your little one? I just was pleasantly surprised to hear that in a few shows.

Ahhh yes, my first job when I was 16 (not the shoe store btw). I remember Kris' managerial style fondly. Especially the holiday season "guys, just don't f**k up" speech. Best of luck with your new gig.

Gotta defend myself:

I worked on a CDC research study in OKC. Ours was the only site that recruited American Indians, so we hired a liason to the tribes. This lady, who was Indian herself (obviously), told us that the proper and appropriate and non-offensive term was American Indian. She cited the treaties as one of the reasons for it. Now you know what I know.
