Betsy, are you kidding? Real Estate Brokers fall all over themselves trying to recruit agents! It doesn't matter if you wear Goodwill-couteur and do your own (dental) manicures...if you're breathing and have a real estate license, you're in high demand. In fact, 18 months after I sent my real estate license back to the state, I was still getting letters from brokers trying to recruit me. I don't know what the real estate laws are in Illinois, but here in Michigan, you have to work for a broker in order to sell real estate. You can't just work on your own unless you have a broker's license, which requires 3 years experience and a minimum number of transactions. Just thought I'd give you that heads up in case it's a deal-breaker for you...
