Kris, what if it had been Eliot who plowed over the baby? Why if he had accidentally knocked into her, hit her in the head with a toy or gotten rougher than he should had because he was overexcited ? Would you "take him out'? Would you kick him in the chest or knowck him down while shaking a fist in his face?
You brought a new member into the family. You're going to have deal with that one of these days.

I haven't listened to the next show yet to know if the chili debate has been settled, but it looks like Podzinger can help identify the episode and time:

Kris,
Dude, you really, really showed restraint...
I'd have kicked the dog to Denver...
NCN
Mamaloo... Seriously.. When did we decide that animals and humans are equal? The dog is not a "member of the family". The dog is a pet, to be enjoyed. The idea behind pet ownership is to ENJOY the animal... not worry if the crazy dog is going to kill your kid...
"member of the family"... yeah, when the dog does the dishes, brings home a paycheck, or tells a joke, THEN he can be a member of the family... until then, he can just sit in the corner, lick his bottom, and fetch a ball...

Kris,
You are so right on this.
I know this is late but I had to comment. I agree that you showed great restraint. The dog went after your child! Your defensive reaction was to destroy the danger in your daughter's life. That you didn't kill or seriously hurt the dog, shows that you did not lose control. If it is not safe for your children to be around the dog, then the dog has to leave. Kris is 100ight on this one.
