Are Subarus rare in Boulder? They're EVERYWHERE in the Pacific Northwest. Portland and Seattle are swarming with them (and yes, I have driven one, a WRX, for years).
Last time I went back east, I did an experiment. I was in Virginia/D.C. for a week, and I counted every Subaru I saw. Including my rental Outback, the total was about 17.
Then, when I got home to Portland, I counted Subarus on the drive from the airport to my house. I stopped counting after 85 or so. :-)
