BEtsy is so funny b/c the characters are always real - somewhere. Like the Portable Media attendee with the pot roast in his pocket. Danielle has a story about a well-off boss pocketing a portion of his meal at a wedding.

Living in Connecticut, I'm curious if there's a Replacements racket at my nearby Goodwill. More than likely, I guess.

Yes, Sue I DO have a story for that! Worked at a leading dentistry magazine for awhile (lost a bit of my soul there) and the owner was a 70-something millionaire. One of my coworkers got married -- a swanky affair at a country club with full seafood cocktail hour, the full monty. After his meal, he attempted to get a young matre'd attention by whistling her over. She ignored him, thus forcing him to take the leftover filet mignon, wrap it in a cloth napkin and jam it into his suit pants POCKET. This is not some crazy uncle, this was a respectable (?) owner of a large magazine who had millions. Maybe more of us should pocket filet mignon so we, too, can become rich!

Shocked myself yesterday when on the train, looking out the window and I noticed The Thrift Shop, Goodwill, and Salvation Army and each time had the thought...hmmmm wonder if they have a good selection of stuff...

Betsy's wagons and minivans comment is a jewel...Honk if your minivan reeks of sour milk and crusted ketchup! I swear I am an otherwise neat and tidy sort, but what happens in the back of the van stays in the back of the van. Literally. I have actually found dessicated McDonald's french fries in the runners of the doors.
