BAH! I have to catch up! My pc hosed up and I've been listening to the same episodes over and over until it finally got fixed this week. Now I have to catch up on all I missed.

So long, Croncast!
Do whatever you want with the show... just don't quit being real.

And here I had a 5 spot on the new name being Parenting and Profanity... I like that, kinda catchy, I'll defer to my wife for that idea...
Good luck my friend...

Aah! Good job guys-- loved every bit of it.
A change in "life path" means less time for Croncast, so I've fallen quit a bit behind-- but still trucking along (a la Slowsky. But still).
I still don't know what's waiting for me at *Life in the can*-- but looking forward to it nonetheless.
Favorite story has always been the "baby bunnies".
And never fails: Kris's laugh crosses over to the next octave-- I can't help but try to contain my own guttural laugh in a public area. In private, I bust a gut.
Great show guys. Long after I've stopped listening to every other podcasts, you've stuck around like a bad case of herpes.
Bring it!

I can't let the last Croncast pass without comment. Thanks so much for the show and I look forward to the new one. See you there. Oh, and Betsy - since you have improv and podcasting on the resume already all you need to round yourself out is shortwave radio experience.

Looking forward to the new show, and to meeting Betsy and her male friend when they come to the ATL in a few days. Thanks for the fabulous entertainment.

Kris and Betsy, you should be proud of what you've created w/ Croncast. I've started listing to the first shows while waiting for "Life in the Can" to start, and you have gotten SO much better over the years--and you weren't half bad when you started! I have never listened to an episode of your show that I haven't enjoyed.

Betsy and Kris thanks for the entertainment you provided. I got to work today 6-20-08 and started looking for the new Croncast and remembered that there would be no new Croncast. :(
OK I am ready for "Life in the Can".

I planned to hold off on listening to the last show for a few day, I made it a little over 24 hours. You could say it's the end of one podcast era and now the beginning of a new podcast error. Kris you saw the writing on the podcast wall 4 years ago and made it your own. Since late 2004 you all have brought me and my wife many pleasurable hours of entertainment. I just want to say thank you and bring on "Life in the Can".

what do you MEAN you're not going to talk about your family any more? THAT IS HALF THE FUNNY OF THE SHOW!!! Plus my in-laws are hicks, too - only substitute Jesus for the alcoholism/smoking - I NEED TO FEEL THAT I AM NOT ALONE!
Can't wait to hear the new show and the new format. Change is scary, but often it is good.
See ya in Atlanta! ;)

Just wanted to say that I'm so glad you guys aren't leaving us forever. I listen to you while I exercise and it's the only thing that lets me get through it! I love the show and would miss you if you left. I'm looking forward to Life In the Can. Enjoy your break but come back soon! You guys are the best!
p.s. I'm glad you're not giving up the spontaneous, non-edited shows. I love it when Kris gets laughing so hard he can't stop.

I had a (strange) dream about you two last night. I met Becky at some sort of benefit walk/run thing, and in doing so won a contest and got to visit the basement with the two of you. Weird? Yes. Entertaining? Definitely.
I'm looking forward to the new podcast - Can't wait for it to start up.

I'm looking forward to the new podcast. Hope it isn't "too different" from Croncast bc I love what you've done and shared. I feel like I know you both and don't want to lose my friends with the new format. Any chance you can add those "spacers" (sorry, I don't know what they are called) so you can jump to different parts of the podcast. I always listen to Croncast when I'm going to sleep at night and always seem to nod off at some point. Trying to fast forward to find my spot is a pain.
Thanks guys!

I just listened to the show from 6/11. I'm a big fan. I've been hearing about your future plans; title change and weekly best-of show. Here's my personal opinion about it. As a listener, all I can really see the little title in the little screen on my mp3 (badly truncated). So I just grab and play selections without much fore-thought. It's not at all unusual for me to hear a few words from the start of a show and realize I already heard this one before and so I'll select a different one (or I'll listen again if it's a good one). I never seem to select titles in any particular order because I only load my podcasts once a week, I lots of podcasts subscriptions (mostly NPR shows) and might have 10-15 of your terrific shows on my mp3. (Your shows are my all-time favorites!) These best-of weekend shows are going to have me thinking "Oh, skip-it, I heard this one before". Just make sure you qualify the show in your introduction. Maybe you should instead consider a best of the month show. This way you free up your time to take Betsy out on the town on the weekends. Keep up the excellent work!!!

We should all just do the show, here, via comments...
I'll start:
Kris opens w/ introduction, and is promptly interrupted by Betsy...
Kris valiantly soldiers on, reminding us of how we can listen to the program in an 'online media player'...
And then Kris begins to tell a story about his day... let's say that he decides to talk about a trip to the store...
Betsy cuts him off, reminds him that no one is listening to him, and begins to riff on her day, starting w/ a trip to a yard sale or good will and ending with dead bunnies, a homeless goat, or a dumpster dive...
(Insert several hearty laughs from Kris and a few "oh baby's")...
and the Kris decides to finish his story...
He then makes some connection between the (insert bunnies, goat, or dumpster diving find) and his (trip to the coffee house, new piece of software, or bald head)... Betsy says "oh, bears" and then notes that none of Kris's stories ever really make the point he's trying to make... and then she laughs...
Kris thanks us for listening, Betsy calls our Kris for his corny farewell.. and the show is over.
And, we as fans, anxiously wait for the next new show.
We miss you guys!!!

I'll bet Kris lost his job again. He's too ashamed to let us know. Betsy kicked him out of the house. He's sharing a Sally Ann dorm with thirty other unfortunates.

So...I've been keeping up with Kris' Twitter...and he and Betsy are very much alive...but I'm seriously not getting what's going on with the show. It would be nice if they could just pop in here and drop a quick note to say "hey, show's gonna run a little later than expected due to x, y and z."
I'm ok with waiting...but people are starting to take this personally....
