Hey Betsy, what ever happened to the "Doot da da doo doo doot, today at Goodwill" intro to the Goodwill segment of the show?

Well don't keep us in suspense -- what model microphone were you discussing? The geek in me has to know.

Good point Shawn. I forgot to add that to the notes . . . maybe I was a bit embarrassed to add it.
You can listen to the files - Croncast blindfolded mic tatse test.
And since I never said what the mics were it still holds some magic . . . until now.
Mic #1 - Neumann U87 Ai
Mic #2 - MXL 2003
I think I need to do a full post for this.

Can't wait to listen to the show guys. You are the only thing that makes my commute bearible. Kris don't let Betsy get on you to bad about the age thing. I will be turning 32(again) next Tuesday but I do the same as Betsy and remind my husband that he will always be older then me :p
Thanks for the shout out on the 300 it made my day!
Keep up the good work and I will miss you in the cold month of March. When are you guys coming to the North East? Your 5 cent Fox tour is waiting.(I know not a big selling point).
Have a good Thanksgiving.

Kris... if you have this kind of money, talk to an invesment guy and start saving for retirement.
I know it's boring but nothing makes getting old bearable like having a FAT wad of cash in the bank.

Hey Kris,
You said something about there being a "Super Elliot" picture, but I don't see one in the show notes. We're really looking forward to seeing them.
Thanks,

So yeah...
Betsy probably would have been justified divorcing you for buying that mic.
You might want to keep in mind your audience. People listening in the car, on the train, or in their cubical probably with the little $10 ear buds that came with the ipod. Either that or they are listening with the $10 speakers that came with the computer or are build into the monitor.
Once your audience starts listening with open air, dynamic element, 53mm aperture headphones with CCAW voice coils and gold plated adapters sitting in the lazy boy next to the stereo in a quiet room so they can give their full attention to the great Croncast, you have my permission to buy a better mic. But even then the Neumann U87 Ai might be a little much.

Out of curiosity, I googled for "puffy cuffs". I wasn't surprised to see that croncast is the top hit.
The interesting bit was the 2nd hit for a product that is really called puffy cuffs from a store called "Adam and Gillian's Sensual Whips and Toys" :

(p.s. how about making the textarea for this input box about double its current width?)
