This American Life... omg... that is where I heard this before! I listened to the podcast of "Houses of Ill Repute", and Betsy's McMansion murder quest... Betsy, you have a bright future :)

Thanks, Russell. (double post is the browser cache when you move back to a page . . . I haven't figure out how to beat this)
I'm not sure if we are going to go down the advertising route, though it is a logical conclusion for being asked to fill one of these things out.
Hopefully, with the time off I can take many of the things that Betsy and I have talked about off the show and put them into some coherent plan. I've been working with it on and off since we decided to go on hiatus.
Kris wants new intro music, a new website, possibly a new name for the show, more listeners and some loot.
Betsy wants a new name for the show (she's never liked Croncast as we all know) and she'd like some loot too.
I'm not sure what we'll be able to do without changing the conversation. Which is something that I don't want to do.
So on April 2nd when we come back, everything might be the same or I might have really changed my name to Dirk Challenger.
P.S. We're open to any suggestions. |

Survey completed. Unfortunately I do not have a lot of confidence in your views on automotive issues, Slowsky & now the Volvo. I hope I wasn't to harsh with that question and besides my car information really comes from "The Car Guys" on NPR.

Just be careful with any "new website" type of plan, it'll take tons of energy away from actually doing the show, and we're not looking at the website that much :-)

Survey done. I can't voice much confidence in your ability to recommend cars or vacation plans, or Zunes...and yeah, the whole survey was kind of lame.
But it's done, and maybe you'll make some advertising money so that Betsy will no longer have to consider buying homes bathed in the blood of the innocents.

OK, my husband did the survey while we listened to the show as I put the groceries away - I kept thinking "Is this a joke?" How much faith do I have in Croncast regarding cars? Vacations? Clothing (Oh my goodness, between puffy cuffs and the dairy snake...)?
I adore the show and I hope that if you are looking for some sort of advertisement scheme, but I don't know if this survey will be of any help to you!
Good luck!

Well, I was going to leave a snarky comment saying I just can't trust you guys in automotive, vacation, or apparel related matters, but I see I was beaten to it!
Glad we are all in agreement, at least :-)

Kris!!! Betsy's business is *not* a hobby! Just think of the tax write-offs!
I will miss you guys in March. I'm going to listen to all the *old* podcasts and catch up...
Yeah...maybe you guys should charge something for this, but please don't make it too expensive. Or at least put a link to Betsy's auctions to make it easier to buy stuff. I'd buy a purse, but I'm waiting for something "pleather," as I don't like animal skin.

What a loaded question...Automotive (cars, gasoline, service providers, etc)..
Hopefully you could get a sponsor to do a short intro, but I like the current intro, whatever you do, don't lose the great chemistry between Betsy & you.
Betsy..I like your McMurder Mansion idea.
Keep up the great podcasting..

I was going to say the same thing about the cars and vacations! I guess we can take advice on those things by doing the opposite of what you guys do!
I heard that House's of Ill Repute too and thought the timing was weird.
When I told my husband about the guy in Bushwick and the crack house -- he told me he knew that guy! Which is worse - living in a house with a murderous history or your husband knowing about the infamous crack house filled with prostitues?
BTW -- My hubby used to pick up the garbage in that neighborhood -- he works for NYC Sanitation.

I feel that I need to explain more -- he knows ABOUT that guy and his house because he worked in Bushwick.
It is a pretty dangerous place -- him and his partner needed a police escort once to pick up the trash -- the dealers were hiding their stashes in the garbage and didnt want the cans to be dumped.
Luckily he has a desk job with them now.

I have high confidence in your expertise in real estate...Bets idea is genius, she'll turn that $150...er $300...er minus what she owes mom...into enough to buy a damn McMurder Mansion!

I hope you enjoy the month off. I can't imagine trying to keep up the pace. Before you go could we get a picture of the two of you doing the show as if I were sitting across the man-pit from you both? I think it would be cool.
Enjoy your time off. You both deserve it.
